All films & shows scans every video library one at a time, as the 3:00 am scan does, in about ten minutes. Each Scan looks at one library: new and changed files only, never a metadata replace. A library already being scanned is not asked again, and only one scan from here runs at a time, because overlapping scans on a locked database have dropped episodes on this server.
Music takes hours (about 79,000 songs, most of them placeholders) and is not needed day to day: the Saturday 10:00 pm scan covers it, with the full artist clean-up. The same choices are behind Run on Scan Media Library on Jellyfin Tasks; every scheduled scan is on Schedules.
Adding, renaming and removing libraries and their folders stay in Jellyfin for now. Metadata (the item editor, Identify) stays in Jellyfin.
