These are accounts on this panel, not on the media server; those live under Users. Permissions default to nothing: a new operator can see this page and nothing else until they are given something.
Recent account activity is part of the audit trail, so seeing it needs audit.view as well as team.view.
Roles are either built in or made here. The built-in ones are fixed, because the panel relies on them as they are; Copy starts a role of your own from one. A role made here can be changed or deleted by anybody who manages the team, and a change reaches everybody holding it on their next click.
